I love this! The uptempo blues based sound is definitely a precursor of developing rock and roll. It is interesting to read that this was a strong influence on Chuck Berry and it is easy to see how this type of style led to a number of the songs that Berry would do later.
As I listened to it I thought of the scene in the first "Back to the future" movie where "Marvin Berry" calls his cousin "Chuck" and holds the phone out for him to listen to the "new" sound he has been looking for that Marty McFly is playing at that moment.
